To end the school year on a high, Year 3 ventured back to Savernake Forest for a morning of activities. Our last trip was in January so the first thing we noticed was how different the forest now was in the Summer. During the morning, we created journey sticks with Mrs Pash and went on a mathematical scavenger hunt with Mrs Stevens. We also had some free time to enjoy being in great outdoors!
Peter enjoyed the walk up to the forest and said, “It was interesting to see how the route had changed and I enjoyed being out in the fresh air.”
Fritz excitedly said, “I enjoyed the scavenger hunt. My favourite part was estimating the size of twigs and then checking them on a tape measure.”
“I really liked making the journey sticks because it reminded of everything in the forest once we got back to school,” Elina added.
“I enjoyed the scavenger hunt because I found the twig closest to 10 cm long!” Luca reported.
