On 21st November, the whole school took part in a climate change awareness day. Mr Friend from St Johns started the day with an assembly explaining what climate change was. After that, we split into mixed age groups and visited different classrooms to find out how to be superheroes and ways in which we could work together to slow down climate change. During the course of the day, the children riffled through rubbish sacks to talk about reducing, reusing and recycling waste, tasted bugs, and discussed green spaces and walking to school. It was wonderful to see how engaged the children were throughout the day, and how well the different year groups worked together. We finished the day back in the school hall where Milly from Transition Marlborough told everyone how impressed and moved she was by all our hard work. Let’s hope we can keep the momentum going!
