The governors of Marlborough St Mary’s CE School are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly motivated teacher with energy and enthusiasm to work from January 2020, covering a maternity leave.

School Cook

The Governors of Marlborough St Mary’s Primary School are looking for an experienced cook to join the team in our beautiful new school.

The successful applicant will be a dedicated, hard-working practitioner with the skills to be able to lead our excellent team of kitchen staff.

The post will involve organising menus within budget and preparing nutritionally balanced meals, ordering foodstuffs from suppliers, and dealing with payments. You will be expected to supervise the kitchen staff and organise the team for all aspects of food preparation, cooking, serving and clearing/cleaning at the end of the lunch session.

 Salary range:   £20,334 – £21,589 per annum/pro-rata -£10.54 – £11.19 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours of work:  35 hours per week, term time only, approx. 7.30/7.45 – 3.00/3.15 with a half hour break.  (Breakfast Club available for childcare from 7.45am, free place provided if needed)

 Contract type: Permanent
