Media and Research
At Marlborough St Mary’s, we believe in making our voice heard within the wider educational landscape. We are committed to active research and forging meaningful connections with esteemed educational establishments such as the Farmington Trust, the University of the West of England and Oxford Brookes University.
We also value the support, challenge, and opportunities for collaboration that come from working with the media. As a result, Marlborough St Mary’s is often the go-to school for educational media features. In April 2026, both Mr Crossman and Mr Goodman were interviewed by ITV about the school’s success in securing a £150,000 School-Based Nursery Grant, which supports our vision of developing a family centre on site. (Further details can be found on the Nursery Consultation tab.)

Mr Crossman has also been invited to speak at Wellington College as part of the Festival of Education in July, where he will discuss the challenges and privileges of leadership.
In the previous year, our school was interviewed about the national challenges surrounding SEND funding, following the release of the 2024/25 Institute for Fiscal Studies report on School Funding. During her visit, Branwen Jeffreys, the BBC Education Editor, explored our impressive inclusive provision for all learners and spoke with Mr Crossman about the issues facing schools across the country.
