House Teams
At Marlborough St Mary's, each child is a member of one of our four houses - Phoenix, Gryphon, Dragon and Pegasus. Children are allocated to a house when they join the school. Siblings are always put into the same house. The children are awarded house points on Class Dojo for good behaviour, subject specific learning achievements, positive learning attitudes and demonstrating our school values of fairness, kindness, love, courage, perseverance and respect.
Each house has two Year Six House Captains, who are role models that display all of our school values and help to support children around the school. The House Captains also represent their house at Sports Day and are awarded with extra responsibilities at Church services and during assemblies.
Each week, the house captains count up the house points, which are then announced in our 'Celebration assembly' every Friday. At the end of the term, the house with the most house points collected receives a house treat, decided on by the School Council.
Each house also has two Year Six Prefects. The Prefects are also role models of behaviour. They have lots of responsibility and are highly trusted to support Reception and the lunch time supervisors in the smooth running of lunch and playground behaviour at lunchtime. They ensure everyone is respected and treated fairly in line with British values of respect and tolerance.
House events and announcements will be posted on Class Dojo for parents to view.
