Dear Parents/Carers
We are both delighted and disheartened to announce that Mrs Macdonald will be retiring at the end of this term. Her last day will be Friday 16th December.
Mrs Macdonald has been an inspirational teacher and a gifted and much appreciated member of our school community. She was for many years the Deputy Headteacher of St Mary’s Infant School and did for a period of time act as Headteacher. We have started a Retirement Collection for her; if you wish to make a contribution please see either Mrs Greenbank in the School Office at the Infant site or Mrs Kent at the Junior site.
We are pleased to welcome Mrs Gisbourne who will be teaching alongside Mrs Smith in Galaxy when we return after the Christmas break in January. Mrs Gisbourne comes to us with many years of teaching experience.
I’m sure you will join me in wishing Mrs Macdonald all the best in her retirement.
