World Book Day 2021

This year, we celebrated World
Book Day over two weeks due to the current circumstances but this didn’t
detract from the fun and joy!

At home and in school, on the
4th March, the children were challenged to design their own super heroes! We
had some brilliant designs and I particularly enjoyed reading about the heroes
linked to books such as the ‘Atomic Bookmark’. In addition, the children were
invited to ‘Share a Story’ in as many different ways as possible and the staff
enjoyed seeing all the different photographs.

At Marlborough St Mary’s, staff and children alike love a dress-up day so, to ensure we all got to enjoy the fun, we dressed up as our favourite book characters on Thursday 11th March. We saw many wonderful outfits from the children and staff including Harry Potter, The Cat in the Hat, Peter Pan and even an eagle from The Hobbit!
