School Council
Welcome to Marlborough St Mary's School Council.
We have surveyed our classes to help Mrs Pratt to decide what new equipment to buy for the playground. We are now helping the Friends of St Mary's with ideas for more equipment and we're hoping they will help us with our quiet activities boxes for each playground.
We surveyed our classes for ideas for an end of term treat for the winning house. Then we planned and delivered the treat! There were tasty Christmas treats for all the children in the winning houses. The winning house had a non uniform day in February and an exciting Duck Hunt for the Easter reward! 🐤 For the summer term, the reward will be ice cream based! 🍦
A group of School Councillors prepared a presentation for the KS2 children to encourage sensible use of the toilets. We have put up posters to remind everyone how to look after the toilets.
Some of the councillors recorded a podcast at the end of this term.
Some councillors met with Mr Crossman and a local business owner to discuss how the business can help us in school.
The School Council are helping Mrs Fry to encourage children to come to Marlborough Common parkrun for the school takeover on 29th June.
Our main focus for Term 6 is to have a box of quiet activities for each playground that can be used from the start of Term 1 in September
We have a notice board. On it, there will be a suggestion box for everyone to use if they have a suggestion for us.
