We are delighted to announce that the school was judged to be good in every area in the recent Ofsted inspection. A massive thank you to all the parents who completed the Parent View questionnaire. Ofsted commented that:

  • ‘Teachers are skilled and passionate about their work. As a result, pupils achieve well and make good progress.’
  • ‘Relationships between staff and pupils are impressive.’
  • ‘The Headteacher and senior leaders are united by a vision of nurture and care for pupils.’
  • Children get off to a very good start in reception.A well-thought-out learning environment, coupled with high-quality teaching, results in good progress.’

At Marlborough St Mary’s we believe that learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone; it should be fun. The mission statement for our school ‘Together we believe, learn and achieve’ drives our concept of lifelong learning for all and our expectation is that every school day will deliver amazing learning opportunities for our pupils. All staff and governors are focused on making learning inspirational and relevant to help every child develop and achieve their potential.

Marlborough St Mary’s Primary School has a strong philosophy of inclusion and aims to provide opportunities for all to learn and achieve within a happy, structured and inspiring Christian environment. This is reflected in our values of respect, fairness, friendship, love, courage and perseverance. We welcome everyone to our school where abilities, faiths and cultures are received and nurtured with care and respect providing pupils every opportunity to develop their full potential. 
Marlborough St Mary’s also has a KS1 and KS2 Resource Base for children with complex Special Educational Needs where we provide a specialist learning environment, specifically designed educational programes and a broad, practical and engaging curriculum to support the needs of the learners and give all children the chance to reach their full potential whilst understanding that success comes in a variety of ways.
